As a New Product Manufacturing Engineer (NPME) at HCL Technologies in Bangalore, you will play a crucial role in supporting new product introduction (NPI) and continuous improvement programs (CIP). Your responsibilities will involve coordinating with design, operations, suppliers, and global product teams to develop optimized manufacturing strategies, release product structures/BOMs, analyze manufacturability, and ensure smooth product transition from design to manufacturing. Role Overview: You will be an intermediate level professional with 3 to 7 years of experience in Product Design & Development, preferably within the Semiconductor Domain. Your primary focus will be on supporting the release of new products and product enhancements, conducting virtual builds to identify manufacturability issues, developing operation method sheets, collaborating with design SMEs, and participating in failure mode analysis during new product development. Key Responsibilities: - Interface with Engineering teams to support the release of new products under PLC/CIP programs - Perform virtual builds to identify early manufacturability issues - Develop and validate Operation Method Sheets for medium complexity assemblies - Collaborate with Design SMEs to develop tooling, test fixtures, and aids for high-quality assembly processes - Participate in New Product Builds and drive resolution of assembly/test issues - Conduct Process Failure Mode, Effects & Criticality Analysis during new product development - Provide informal leadership through mentoring of junior engineers - Deliver training and support to shop floor teams and suppliers on BOM structures and build processes Qualification Required: - Bachelors degree in engineering (Mechanical/Manufacturing/Production or related field) - Strong understanding of manufacturing engineering principles and product structure - Experience with CAD/PLM tools such as NX/Creo and Teamcenter - Practical application of DFx methodologies and failure mode analysis - Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills If you are an experienced engineer with a background in Product Design & Development and a passion for driving manufacturing excellence, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity at HCL Technologies in Bangalore.
