As a Mechanical Design Engineer at HCLTech in Chennai, you will be part of a team that values innovation and impactful work. Key Responsibilities: - Experience in GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis. - Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD software for creating 3D models, sheet metal, 2D drawings, and assemblies. - Hands-on experience in EPDM/PLM for managing the lifecycle of components. - Knowledge in manufacturability considerations for sheet metal and plastic. - Create DFMEA to identify relevant product risks. - Apply DFM/DFA concepts in design and select suitable materials. - Familiarity with the latest engineering design methods, tools, and processes. - Experience with standard New Product Development (NPD) processes and understanding of compliance requirements. - Knowledge of Engineering Change Process (ECN, ECR, and ECO) and proficiency in PLM tools like Agile. - Ability to present and articulate ideas to key stakeholders and the leadership team. - Excellent communication skills to engage with stakeholders and present change ideas. - Quality mindset in design and documentation.
