About the role
Role Overview: As an MRI Design Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design and verification activities to ensure MRI compliance of medical devices. Your key responsibilities will include designing electromechanical components to meet international standards and regulations for MRI compliance, developing test strategies, and conducting compliance testing for the medical device. You will also need to collaborate with internal and external partners to define project scopes and track progress of work packages to be executed externally. Key Responsibilities: - Design electromechanical components for compliance to international standards/regulations for MRI compliance of medical devices - Develop test strategies and conduct compliance testing for the medical device - Interface with internal and external partners to define project scopes and track progress of work packages to be executed externally Qualification Required: - Bachelors or Masters degree in Biomedical Engineering, Physics, or Mechanical Engineering - 10+ years of experience in medical device design and development, with at least 2 years specifically in designing medical devices for MRI compliance Additional Company Details: The company values in-depth knowledge of MRI Physics, magnet design, SolidWorks, and ISO 14708-7 standard for Cochlear Implants. Desirable skills include electromagnetic simulation, COMSOL simulation software, and product risk management. Strong communication skills are required to effectively interface with internal and external partners for work packages and design reviews.
