Hyderabad, Telangana Job Summary Job Title: SAP BASIS Consultant / Lead Location: [Hyderabad / Any Location / Hybrid] Experience: 612 Years (Lead: 10+ Years) Employment Type: Full-Time Role Overview We are seeking an experienced SAP BASIS Consultant/Lead responsible for the administration, configuration, monitoring, and performance optimization of SAP systems. The role involves ensuring high availability, system security, and supporting SAP landscapes across on-premise and cloud environments. Key Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain SAP systems (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, PI/PO, Solution Manager) Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting Manage SAP system landscapes including DEV, QA, PROD environments Execute SAP kernel upgrades, patching, and system refreshes Handle transport management system (TMS) and release management Perform client copies, system copies, and database migrations Manage SAP HANA database administration (backup, recovery, performance tuning) Ensure high availability and disaster recovery (HA/DR) strategies Monitor and resolve production incidents, service requests, and outages Work closely with functional and technical teams for issue resolution Implement and maintain SAP security policies and user administration Support cloud-based SAP deployments (AWS/Azure/GCP) Required Skills & Experience Strong hands-on experience in SAP BASIS administration Experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP HANA database Proficiency in system installation, upgrades, and migrations Knowledge of SAP NetWeaver architecture Experience with transport management (TMS) Strong understanding of OS (Linux/Unix/Windows) and databases Experience in backup, restore, and disaster recovery planning Familiarity with SAP Solution Manager and monitoring tools Experience in performance tuning and system optimization Cloud & Modern Skills (Preferred) Experience in SAP on Cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP) Exposure to SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) Knowledge of automation tools and scripting (Shell, Python) Understanding of DevOps practices for SAP landscapes Leadership Responsibilities (for Lead Role) Lead BASIS team and manage end-to-end SAP operations Define and enforce standards, processes, and governance Coordinate with stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams Ensure SLA compliance and system availability Mentor junior BASIS consultants Key Responsibilities 1. Develop and enhance sap programs using abap language to meet business requirements. 2. Collaborate with cross functional teams to analyze, design, and implement sap solutions. 3. Troubleshoot and debug sap programs to optimize performance and functionality. 4. Create technical documentation and provide training to end-users as needed. 5. Stay updated on sap abap best practices and technologies to recommend improvements. Skill Requirements 1. Proficiency in sap abap programming basics including abap dictionary, reports, interfaces, forms, and enhancements. 2. Strong understanding of sap modules and integration with other systems. 3. Knowledge of debugging techniques and performance optimization in sap abap. 4. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment. 5. Effective communication skills to interact with stakeholders at various levels.
