About the role
THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES We are seeking a driven and technically grounded Business Orchestration & Automation SME to join our team. In this mid-level role, you will serve as the critical bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams translating operational challenges into scalable automation solutions. You will design, implement, and optimize end-to-end process workflows using modern BPM, RPA, and integration platforms to drive measurable efficiency and business value. REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS Must-Have - 6+ years of experience in AI orchestration, enterprise automation, or workflow design. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or a related field - Process Analysis & Design - Conduct process discovery workshops with business stakeholders to identify automation and orchestration opportunities - Model current-state and future-state workflows using BPMN 2.0 and DMN notation - Perform process mining and value stream analysis to quantify improvement potential (time, cost, error rate) - Author detailed process design documents, business requirements, and functional specifications - Automation & Orchestration Development - Design, build, test, and deploy automated workflows using at least one RPA tool. - Hands-on Experience with a BPM/orchestration platform - BPMN 2.0 process modeling — able to model and review complex workflows independently - Integrate disparate enterprise systems via APIs, middleware, or iPaaS platforms - Implement event-driven and human-in-the-loop workflow patterns to handle exceptions and escalations - Ensure automation solutions adhere to security, compliance, and data governance standards - Delivery & Continuous Improvement - Own the full automation lifecycle: discovery design build test deploy monitor - Define and track KPIs for deployed automations (SLA adherence, FTE savings, error reduction, throughput) - Lead post-implementation reviews and continuously optimize live processes based on performance data - Maintain automation documentation, runbooks, and support handover materials - Stakeholder & Team Engagement - Act as SME and trusted advisor to business units on automation strategy and feasibility - Collaborate closely with IT Architecture, Data, and Security teams to ensure platform alignment - Mentor junior analysts and developers in automation best practices and tooling - Present recommendations and ROI analyses to senior stakeholders and management Nice-to-Have - Background in a specific business domain: finance, healthcare, supply chain, HR, or legal. - Experience with hyperautomation or intelligent automation (IDP, AI-augmented flows). - Scripting ability: Python or JavaScript for automation enhancements
