Pune, Maharashtra Job Summary Job Summary : Summary of Position: substantial / major Tasks: We are seeking an experienced L3 Network Security Consultant to lead advanced design, implementation, and operational support of critical security technologies. The role involves architecting secure network solutions, managing enterprise security platforms, driving policy governance, providing L3 escalation support, and ensuring compliance across the environment. This is a senior, stakeholder-facing role requiring deep technical expertise and strong communication skills. Major Tasks / Activities (What the position does) Expected Outcome (Why is it done) Engage with key users to understand business needs, challenges, and goals. Support in developing (technology) solutions at domain level aligned with organizational objectives. Defined, aligned, and communicated domain level strategy, roadmap, and processes. Define domain related processes and policies including complementary documentation. Ensure a global understanding of the domain processes and policies. Support and consult in IT projects as well as lead domain initiatives including ensuring successful execution from planning to completion. Ensure successful coordination and execution of domain specific projects and initiatives. Customize existing systems to meet specific user requirements (domain specific). Evaluate and recommend new processes/technologies for efficiency and effectiveness. Ensure system design & optimization. Provide (technical) assistance to key users. Conduct training sessions on processes and potential software and hardware usage for domain specific topics. Provide user support and training, thus ensuring information flow on domain specific topics for all relevant stakeholders. Analyse complex issues and propose effective solutions. Produce reports to guide decision-making. Problem solving and reporting. Architect secure network solutions across hybrid landscapes (on prem, cloud, SaaS) Robust, scalable, and secure architectures Manage enterprise firewalls, IPS/IDS, web proxy/SWG, WAF, and DDoS technologies Reliable and compliant perimeter & internal defence Job Responsibilities : Required Skills Define, maintain, and evolve network security strategies, roadmaps, standards, and architectures aligned with business objectives. Establish, enforce, and continuously improve security policies, procedures, and domain level processes. Evaluate emerging security technologies and recommend enhancements to strengthen the overall security posture. Lead the administration and lifecycle management of network security platforms. Ensure effective lifecycle management of security controls through continuous review and optimization. Problem Solving mindset for complex and critical network security incidents and troubleshooting. Ensure regulatory compliance, audit readiness, and effective remediation management. Collaborate closely with business leaders, IT teams, risk functions, and external partners to manage security risks effectively. Key Responsibilities Skill Requirement : 1.1 Qualifikation & Experience Relevant Experience should be 7-10 years Strong incident handling expertise across containment, eradication, recovery, and lessons learned. Hands-on network security knowledge (firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAF, VPN, Proxies, NAC) and packet/log analysis. Experience integrating cloud and identity telemetry; familiarity with Azure/M365 security preferred. Knowledge of frameworks and models: MITRE ATT&CK;, NIST 800-61 IR, NIST CSF, ISO 27001, NIS2. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive reporting skills. Audit participation experience is must Other Requirement : Preferred Certifications Security+: CompTIA Security+ Cloud security (e.g., AZ500, SC200, CCSP). Network security (e.g., NSE, PCNSA/PCNSE, CCNP Security). CISSP/CISM Tools & Plattform (indicative) Network Security: Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco, F5/WAF, Cloudflare/Proxies Soft Skills Strong stakeholder and vendor management abilities. Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure during security incidents. Ownership mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
