As a Design and Development Engineer for plastic covers and cowls for scooters and motorcycles, your role involves conceptualizing, designing, and developing products for both in-house and external projects. You will be responsible for resolving development issues to meet project targets, ensuring timely release of designs, developing quality documents, leading issue resolution for failures, and delivering the best concept models within cost targets. Key Responsibilities: - Resolve development issues to meet project targets for product, timing, quality, and cost - Ensure timely release of designs, complete CAD modeling, release drawings, verify packaging, and prepare BOM - Develop quality documents for design, conduct DFMEA, DFA, and DFM - Lead issue resolution for failures during part development, collaborate with plant and quality teams - Decide on first-time right concept design for strength, durability, and fit-and-finish - Deliver concept models within cost targets and functional balance - Implement and validate innovative ideas and technologies - Conduct DFMEA, DFM, DFA, DFS on systems and implement best practices Qualifications Required: - Hands-on experience with CATIA software - Understanding of CAE reports, track test reports, and ability to implement countermeasures - Project management skills and costing knowledge - Supplier management experience In addition to technical skills, you are expected to demonstrate the following behavioral skills: - Analytical and problem-solving abilities - Interpersonal savvy and decision-making skills - Innovation and creativity - Planning and organizing capabilities - Leadership qualities As an equal opportunity employer, we are committed to treating all employees and job applicants equally.
