Function Emerging Mobility Business UnitPay Band E4 to M2Role As a Vehicle Integration Expert you will lead the end-to-end mechanical integration of all emerging mobility in NOVUS platforms. In this role, you will manage the interface between complex mechanical and EV subsystems to ensure precise fit, finish, and tolerance stack-up. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee vehicle development from the initial layout through to production readiness for Alpha and Beta builds. You will ensure that every component meets performance, safety, and regulatory benchmarks while optimizing for (DFM) and (DFA). As a core member of the Novus team, you will contribute to multiple projects and support various other activities essential to the successful development of the vehicle.A purpose driven role for you Your key responsibilities will include, but not limited to: 1. 3D Layout and Packaging: Lead the comprehensive layout for all platforms, maintaining ownership of the DMU to resolve sizing and conflicts between EV and mechanical subsystems. 2. BOM Creation: Meticulously divide the vehicle into subsystems & ensure all micro level parts like exclusive fasteners are considered in vehicle layout & common parts are being fetched from existing library of parts in team centre. 3. Interface Management: Conduct rigorous tolerance stack-up analysis to ensure superior fit and finish while preventing assembly interference issues during Alpha and Beta builds. 4. Design Optimization: Refine component designs to reduce assembly complexity, part counts, and production cycle times. 5. Build Readiness and Prototype Governance: Direct the BOM scrubbing and part-readiness audits to ensure all components meet engineering release levels prior to assembly. 6. Validation and Compliance: Ensure the integrated vehicle complies with all performance, safety benchmarks, and regulatory requirements & also ensure options for multi sourcingA Day in the life The purpose of your role will be to lead the end-to-end mechanical integration of all emerging mobility in NOVUS platforms.
