About the role
As an Electrical Systems Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing vehicle electrical architecture. Your responsibilities will include creating wiring harness layouts and electrical schematics, selecting electrical components, and ensuring compliance with automotive standards and safety requirements. Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop vehicle electrical architecture - Create wiring harness layouts and electrical schematics - Select electrical components such as relays, fuses, connectors, sensors, and controllers - Ensure compliance with automotive standards and safety requirements You will also support the integration of lithium-ion battery packs, monitor battery performance, work with Battery Management Systems (BMS), and analyze battery charging and discharging behavior to ensure the safe operation of high-voltage circuits. Moreover, you will be responsible for integrating motor controllers with the vehicle system, validating communication between the battery, controller, and motor, troubleshooting power delivery and vehicle performance issues, and optimizing efficiency and energy consumption. Additionally, your role will involve designing and reviewing wiring harness routing, preparing harness drawings and Bill of Materials (BOM), verifying connector compatibility and durability, and supporting manufacturing and assembly teams. Furthermore, you will diagnose electrical faults in vehicles, analyze wiring issues, sensor failures, and communication faults using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and diagnostic tools, and support field service teams in resolving customer complaints. You will conduct electrical system testing, perform endurance, reliability, and environmental tests, validate charging systems and vehicle functions, prepare test reports and corrective action plans, and work with the Controller Area Network (CAN) protocol, monitoring CAN messages using CAN tools, troubleshooting communication between ECUs, and validating software and hardware interfaces. Moreover, you will support onboard charger integration, verify charging performance and safety, investigate charging failures and connector issues, and ensure compliance with charging standards. You will also be responsible for creating electrical drawings and technical documents, maintaining test reports and validation records, updating engineering change documents, and coordinating with suppliers and manufacturing teams. Lastly, you will work with mechanical, software, manufacturing, and quality teams, support new product development projects, and participate in design reviews and root cause analysis.
