Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable software applications using Python.

• Create, tune, and implement custom machine learning models and embeddings to enhance product capabilities.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

• Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality software delivery.

• Develop backend components to improve responsiveness and overall performance.

• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues.

• Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing and deployment.

• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to bring innovative solutions to the team.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Machine Learning Engineer, with at least 4 years in industry or equivalent academic experience (thesis-based Master’s or PhD).

• Expert-level proficiency in Python; write clean, efficient code without any handholding.

• Demonstrated experience in creating and tuning custom machine learning models and embeddings.

• Familiarity with deep learning frameworks similar to PyTorch, like TensorFlow, Keras, or MXNet.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Bonus Skills:

• Experience with MLP (Machine Learning Platforms) such as Amazon SageMaker, Azure ML, or Google Cloud AI Platform.

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud).

• Experience with backend development and frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask, SQL).

• Experience in developing novel embeddings, beyond just large language models (LLMs) or image processing techniques.
