About the role
As an Ed-Tech company, HeyMath! is on a mission to Raise the Game in Maths for school systems worldwide by utilizing technology to deliver engaging teaching methodologies and personalized learning paths for students. Established in collaboration with the University of Cambridge in 2000, HeyMath! has a successful track record of being adopted by CBSE schools since 2004, leading to positive outcomes across the entire ecosystem. The company fosters a collegiate, informal, and friendly virtual office atmosphere where small high-impact teams work collaboratively to make a difference to customers. What we are looking for: - Experience in building and re-engineering cloud-based solutions on AWS. - Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOPS) and design patterns is essential. - Hands-on development experience with the Spring MVC framework. - Proficiency in working with Java 8 or above. - Solid understanding of RDBMS such as MySQL and expertise in performance tuning. - Good grasp of Javascript frameworks like React JS. - Familiarity with server-side and client-side caching mechanisms. - Basic comprehension of proxy servers, load balancers, and CDN. - Capability to debug applications and offer immediate workable solutions. - Nice to have: Experience working with Elastic Search, Kafka, Kubernetes, or a combination of these technologies.
