Integration Engineer — Job Description Role Summary

The Integration Engineer makes GoDaddy’s internal platforms programmatically accessible so LLM agents can execute workflows end-to-end without human handoffs. Today, critical tools (Catalog Management, Promo Tool, Pricing Tool, Package Tool) are GUI-only — every agent interaction requires a human intermediary, adding 2–5 days per pipeline stage. This role builds the API bridges, authentication flows, and MCP server integrations that eliminate those handoffs. Works alongside Andrew Maxwell’s engineering team for technical direction; Herwin sets priorities.

Key Responsibilities · Build and maintain MCP (Model Context Protocol) server integrations that expose internal GoDaddy tools to the agent fleet — Catalog Management Tool, Promo Tool, Pricing Tool, Package Tool, and Hivemind experimentation platform. · Design and implement authentication and token-management layers (SSO JWT, P12 cert-based auth, service accounts) that enable agents to operate autonomously without per-session human login. · Create API wrappers and adapters for GUI-only internal tools, working with platform teams to identify the most efficient integration path (existing APIs, database access, or headless browser automation as last resort). · Instrument integrations with observability (logging, error rates, latency) to maintain the reliability SLA required for automated agent workflows. · Resolve integration fragility — the 40% scheduled-run failure rate from authentication-layer failures is this role’s primary Day 1 target. · Document all integrations for agent consumption: endpoint schemas, auth flows, error handling patterns, and rate limits in machine-readable formats. Requirements · 3+ years building and maintaining API integrations in a production environment. You’ve wired systems together that weren’t designed to talk to each other. · Strong experience with authentication protocols — OAuth2, JWT, certificate-based auth, service accounts. You can debug a token expiry chain at 2am. · Proficiency in Python and/or Node.js. Comfortable with shell scripting, REST APIs, and reading unfamiliar codebases to find undocumented endpoints. · Experience with infrastructure-as-code, containerized deployments (ECS/Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines. · Comfort working in a large enterprise environment with distributed platform ownership — you’ll need to navigate multiple teams’ systems and permission models. Preferred · Experience with LLM tool-use patterns, MCP (Model Context Protocol), or agent-tool integration architectures. · Familiarity with eCommerce platforms, product catalog systems, or pricing/promo tooling. · Prior work with GoDaddy internal systems or similar large-scale hosting/registrar platforms. · Experience with Playwright or Puppeteer for headless browser automation (last-resort integration path).
