Job Description – Procurement Analyst / Buyer (Procurement Excellence & Analytics) Position: Procurement Analyst / Buyer Role Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Procurement Analyst / Buyer to manage end-to-end procurement activities while leveraging data analytics and automation to drive operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have strong source and procurement experience, knowledge of RFX processes, supplier negotiations, ERP systems, and the ability to develop analytical insights through Power BI, Tableau, SQL, and Advanced Excel.
Key Responsibilities Analytics & Automation Skills (With Min 3-4yrs Hands on Experience) Strong proficiency in: · Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query, Macros, Dashboards) · Power BI · Tableau · SQL · Python (Basic to Intermediate) Good to have: · VBA Development · Process Automation Tools · Workflow Optimization · Smartsheet Experience
Procurement Operations · Manage the complete procurement lifecycle from requisition to procurement close-out. · Handle RFx activities, including preparation, floating RFQs, supplier coordination, bid evaluation, and recommendation. · Process purchase requisitions and create/close Purchase Orders in compliance with organizational procedures. · Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and services. · Manage commercial negotiations to achieve cost savings and favorable contractual terms. · Resolve invoice discrepancies and supplier-related commercial issues. · Apply procurement policies, standards, and procedures while ensuring compliance. · Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, and procurement KPIs. · Prepare procurement reports, spend analysis, and management updates as required. Commodity Management · Good understanding of Electrical, Mechanical, or Instrumentation commodities. · Knowledge of cost estimation methodologies and commodity market trends. · Understanding of supplier lead times, logistics, and delivery management. Procurement Analytics & Process Improvement · Analyze procurement data to identify savings opportunities, process bottlenecks, and performance trends. · Develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI and Tableau. · Perform data extraction, validation, and analysis using SQL and Advanced Excel. · Automate procurement reporting and workflows using VBA and Python. · Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement automation solutions. · Maintain procurement KPIs, scorecards, and performance metrics.
Required Qualifications Educational Qualification · Engineering Graduate (Preferred) · Bachelor’s degree in engineering or MBA in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Administration, or related field. Experience · 3–7 years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain, or Purchasing. · Experience in handling end-to-end procurement activities and supplier management.
