Engineer - QA (Tamil Nadu)

Role & responsibilities Quality Control & Inspection - Conduct patrol inspections and first-off approvals of yokes and input shafts for each part setup to ensure process compliance. - Manage quality checks in various stages such as final inspections, MPI, and PDI for input shafts and yokes. - Manage NPD parts inspection using standard room equipment, conduct necessary checks, and prepare detailed inspection reports. Measurement & Process Control - Carry out Statistical Process Control (SPC) analysis for critical dimensions to monitor and maintain quality standards. - Develop and manage CMM programs for NPD parts and ensure proper maintenance of CMM styluses. - Manage and maintain Standard Room measuring and testing equipments like CMM (Zeiss), Roundness tester, Contour, gauges, etc., ensuring calibration compliance and readiness for quality inspections. Quality Control & Process Improvement - Minimize rejections and rework through process improvements, Poka-Yoke, and Kaizen initiatives in line with PPM targets. - Verify Poka-Yoke effectiveness and ensure process adherence. - Monitor in-process and final inspections to maintain quality standards. Preferred candidate profile : - Diploma / Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Automobile Engineering (or related field) with 3 to 7 years of experience. - Knowledge of in-process inspection methods, first-off approvals, and control chart maintenance. - Valuable knowledge in handling standard room measuring instruments like CMM (Zeiss), gauges, roundness tester, contour, etc., .
