About the role
As a Desktop Support Executive, you will be responsible for providing technical support for desktop hardware, software, and system troubleshooting. Your role will involve diagnosing and resolving hardware/software issues to ensure minimal disruption to end-users' productivity. Here is what you'll be doing: - Hardware Support: You will provide technical support for desktop hardware, including laptops, desktops, monitors, printers, and peripherals. - Software Installation & Configuration: Your responsibilities include installing and configuring operating systems (Windows, Mac OS) and software applications while ensuring proper setup of security software and productivity tools. - System Troubleshooting: You will diagnose and resolve system issues such as crashes, slow performance, software conflicts, or missing drivers. - System Security & Updates: Ensuring antivirus software is installed, and security patches are up to date will be part of your duties. Performing routine system maintenance to optimize performance is also essential. - Employee Support & Training: You will assist employees with desktop issues and provide training on software usage and best practices. Required Skills: - Strong troubleshooting skills in hardware diagnostics and OS-related issues. - Familiarity with network configuration and support. - Ability to provide remote support and communicate effectively with non-technical users. - Experience with HRIS platforms like HHUB (a plus). - Ability to manage multiple support tickets efficiently.
