About the role
Role & responsibilities We are looking for a skilled SAP ABAP BTP Developer hands-on experience in building cloud-native applications on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). The ideal candidate will have strong exposure to CAP-based development (Java or Node.js), a solid understanding of SAP S/4HANA data models, and growing familiarity with Generative AI and LLM-based solutions. This role involves building scalable, secure, and intelligent enterprise applications that integrate SAP and non-SAP systems. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and deploy cloud-native applications on SAP ABAP & BTP using SAP CAP (Java or Node.js) • Build and expose OData / REST APIs using CAP services • Develop applications using BTP services such as: o SAP HANA Cloud o Destination Service o XSUAA / Authorization & Trust Management o SAP Build • Collaborate with functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions • Explore and implement GenAI use cases, such as: o LLM-powered assistants or copilots o RAG-based solutions using enterprise data o Prompt engineering and orchestration • Integrate LLMs via APIs (SAP AI Core, SAP Joule, OpenAI, or similar platforms) • Ensure application security, performance, and scalability • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and DevOps pipelines Preferred candidate profile 6-9 years of development experience, with strong focus on SAP BTP • Hands-on experience with SAP CAP using Java or Node.js • Experience working with SAP HANA Cloud • Strong knowledge of RESTful services, OData, and cloud application architecture • Familiarity with authentication & authorization concepts in BTP (OAuth, XSUAA) • Exposure to LLMs and Generative AI concepts (prompting, RAG, API-based model usage) • Good to Have • Experience with SAP AI Core / AI Launchpad / Joule Studio • Exposure to SAP Datasphere, SAC, or event-driven architecture • Experience building AI-powered enterprise applications Soft Skills • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Good communication and stakeholder management abilities • Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies What We Offer • Work on advanced SAP BTP and GenAI initiatives • Exposure to enterprise-scale AI solutions • Hybrid work model with flexibility • Learning and certification opportunities
