About the role
Role Overview: Within Hitachi Energy Technology Services Private Limited's BiMOS Front End semiconductor manufacturing, there is an opportunity for a motivated engineer to play a key role in implementing and maintaining a Fault Detection & Classification (FDC) framework. This role involves developing extraction routines to transform time-series equipment data into meaningful process parameters, enabling advanced analytics, machine learning, and cloud-based data visualization for operational improvement and strategic advancements in yield and product quality. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate closely with process engineers, maintenance engineers, product engineers, and factory IT to understand semiconductor production processes, data pipelines, and FDC programming. - Develop, test, and deploy FDC extraction routines for processes in a production environment, configuring extraction logic, performing mathematical transformations, and ensuring validated results are available for process control using statistical process control (SPC) software. - Support post-production FDC extraction rollout, collect feedback, and optimize extraction routines as needed, while creating and maintaining detailed technical documentation in Azure DevOps. - Ensure compliance with external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines, while embodying Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field, or a master's degree (ME/MTech/MS) in physics or engineering. - Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience. - Proficiency in programming languages such as C# or Python. - Knowledge and experience with Azure DevOps and Git. - Preferred prior knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes, experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), process monitoring and control using SPC software, exposure to industrial data analytics, and FDC systems with scalable machine learning initiatives. - Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional manufacturing environment, with strong documentation and communication skills.
