FDC Data Engineer - Semiconductors

Role Overview: You will be joining the BiMOS Front End semiconductor manufacturing team at Hitachi Energy Technology Services Private Limited to strengthen the data-driven process control capabilities. Your main responsibility will be to implement a comprehensive Fault Detection & Classification (FDC) framework, supporting advanced analytics, machine learning, and cloud-based data visualization for operational improvement and strategic enablement. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate closely with process engineers, maintenance engineers, product engineers, and factory IT to understand semiconductor production processes, data pipelines, and FDC programming. - Develop, test, and deploy FDC extraction routines for processes in a production environment, configuring extraction logic, defining process triggers and substeps, extracting relevant time-series process parameters, performing mathematical transformations, and sending validated results back to equipment integration systems for process control using statistical process control (SPC) software. - Support post-production FDC extraction rollout, collect feedback after deployment, and optimize extraction routines as required in coordination with process experts. - Create and maintain detailed technical documentation of process recipes and corresponding FDC extraction files in Azure DevOps. - Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines, living by Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field, or a master's degree (ME/MTech/MS) in physics or engineering. - Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience. - Knowledge of programming languages such as C# or Python. - Experience working with Azure DevOps and Git. - Prior knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) preferred. - Experience with process monitoring and control using SPC software, exposure to industrial data analytics, FDC systems using scalable machine learning initiatives preferred. - Ability to work effectively as a team player in a cross-functional manufacturing environment. - Strong documentation and communication skills.
