About the role
Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to oversee and manage civil and structural construction activities for large-scale commercial real estate projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring execution of works in accordance with approved drawings, technical specifications, project schedules, quality standards, and safety regulations while coordinating with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and internal project teams. Key Responsibilities Site Execution & Supervision Supervise day-to-day civil construction activities from excavation to project completion. Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and project standards. Monitor structural, architectural, and finishing works. Ensure proper deployment of manpower, equipment, and construction resources. Coordinate multiple work fronts to achieve project milestones. Construction Management Monitor RCC works, formwork, reinforcement, concreting, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, flooring, faade support works, and finishing activities. Ensure construction activities comply with approved construction methodologies. Review work sequences and resolve execution challenges. Coordinate with subcontractors to maintain uninterrupted progress. Planning & Progress Monitoring Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly construction progress. Compare actual progress against project schedules. Identify delays and recommend corrective actions. Coordinate with planning engineers for look-ahead schedules and milestone tracking. Quality Assurance & Quality Control Ensure all civil works comply with approved quality standards and project specifications. Review Inspection Requests (IRs), Method Statements, and Material Approval Requests (MARs). Monitor Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and ensure timely corrective actions. Participate in quality inspections, audits, and consultant approvals. Technical Coordination Review structural and architectural drawings before execution. Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, MEP engineers, and project management teams. Resolve Requests for Information (RFIs) and site technical issues. Verify shop drawings before execution. Material & Resource Management Monitor availability and consumption of construction materials. Coordinate with procurement for timely material delivery. Verify material quality and compliance with project specifications. Ensure efficient utilization of labor, machinery, and equipment. Quantity Verification Verify quantities executed at site. Review contractor measurements and billing quantities. Support preparation of BOQs and quantity reconciliation. Monitor material wastage and optimize resource utilization. Health, Safety & Environment Ensure compliance with company HSE policies and statutory regulations. Promote safe work practices across the project site. Participate in safety inspections, toolbox talks, and incident investigations. Ensure safe execution of all civil construction activities. Documentation & Reporting Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly site progress reports. Maintain site records, inspection reports, and execution documentation. Assist in preparing management reports and project updates. Maintain as-built documentation and project closeout records. Stakeholder Coordination Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors. Attend project review meetings and site coordination meetings. Support authority inspections and project approvals. Ensure timely resolution of technical and construction-related issues. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (B.E./B.Tech Civil). Master's Degree in Construction Management is an added advantage. Experience 5–12 years of experience in commercial building construction. Experience in high-rise office buildings, IT parks, shopping malls, hospitals, hotels, mixed-use developments, or industrial projects. Strong experience in RCC structures and finishing works.
