We seek a skilled and enthusiastic WooCommerce eCommerce Developer to join our team and play a key role in building and enhancing high-performance eCommerce platforms for our clients. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining WooCommerce websites, ensuring they are functional, user-friendly, secure, and optimized for conversions. You will be an integral part of our eCommerce Development team, reporting directly to the eCommerce Development Manager. Job Responsibilities Design and Development: Design, develop, and maintain eCommerce websites using WooCommerce, ensuring they are visually appealing, user-friendly, and aligned with client requirements and brand guidelines. eCommerce Functionality: Implement essential eCommerce functionality, including product catalogs, shopping carts, payment gateways (e.g., Stripe, PayPal, Razorpay), shipping integrations, order management systems, and customer accounts. Customization: customize WooCommerce themes and plugins to meet specific client needs, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance. Responsiveness and Optimization: Ensure website responsiveness across various devices (desktops, tablets, mobile phones), cross-browser compatibility, and mobile optimization for a seamless shopping experience. Performance and Security: Optimize website performance for speed and efficiency, ensuring fast loading times and a smooth user experience. Implement security measures to protect websites from vulnerabilities and ensure data integrity for eCommerce transactions. Technical Skills Clean Code: Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code that is easy to maintain and understand. Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and debug eCommerce website issues, identifying and resolving errors effectively. Technology Updates: Stay up-to-date with WooCommerce, WordPress, and eCommerce trends, technologies, and security best practices. Collaboration Teamwork: Work closely with designers, project managers, and other developers to ensure seamless project execution and successful eCommerce website delivery. Client Communication: Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, provide updates on project progress, and gather feedback. Requirements Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience: 2+ years of proven experience in WooCommerce and eCommerce development, with a strong portfolio of successful online store projects. Skills Required Core Understanding: Strong understanding of WooCommerce core, themes, plugins, and extensions. Best Practices: Proficient in WooCommerce development best practices and coding standards. Customization: Extensive experience with custom theme development and plugin customization for eCommerce functionality. eCommerce Functionality Product Catalogs: Experience setting up and managing product catalogs, including product variations, attributes, and inventory management. Shopping Carts and Checkout: Expertise in configuring and customizing shopping cart and checkout processes for a smooth user experience. Payment Gateways: Experience integrating various payment gateways (e.g., Stripe, PayPal, Razorpay) to facilitate secure online transactions. Shipping Integrations: Knowledge of integrating shipping methods and carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, India Post) to provide accurate shipping rates and options. Front-End Development Languages: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Responsive Design: Experience with responsive design principles and techniques. Frameworks: Familiarity with front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js) is a plus. Back-End Development Languages: Proficiency in PHP and experience with server-side scripting. Databases: Knowledge of MySQL and experience with database management. Version Control Git: Experience with Git or other version control systems.
