Job Summary: The Markets Systems team is responsible for delivering first-in-class systems for trading, market data dissemination and surveillance monitoring in cash and derivatives markets. We play a critical role in managing the full software development cycle, including architecture design, development, testing and implementation of our mission critical systems. We also partner with infrastructure and cyber security team to operate our systems in such fast growing financial markets in Hong Kong. Job Duties: Responsible for low latency system design and development of exchange trading and surveillance platforms for cash and derivative markets Collaborate with user divisions to define solution based on business use cases Take full ownership and accountability of project delivery Lead the investigation and resolution of production incidents Manage projects with complex stakeholders that involve internal, external parties and regulators Assess technological risk and drive mitigation actions Collaborate with technology teams on activities with common systems impacts Drive technical excellence across the teams Uphold compliance with organization policies and standards Job Requirements: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in system design and development, ideally within banking, financial services sectors. Strong interest in technologies and able to understand new technologies in detail very quickly Solid experience of delivering projects with complex stakeholders Solid experience on system design and development of low latency and high throughput system In-depth knowledge of resiliency design that supports high availability Excellent analytical, interpersonal, communication and people management skills Experienced in hands-on coding, e.g. Java, C++, Python, web or network programming Good understanding of cyber security risk and technology control Good understanding of cash or derivatives market HKEX is committed as an Equal Opportunity Employer.
