Key Responsibilities Administer and maintain Linux-based systems supporting internal operations and customer-facing platforms. Manage virtual infrastructure, including deployment and monitoring of virtual machines (VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM). Deploy and maintain Docker-based container environments for production and development systems. Oversee Office 365 administration, including identity management, user provisioning, security policies, and compliance. Architect and manage secure, reliable network infrastructure, including VPNs, firewalls, VLANs, and routing for local and remote access. Maintain and optimise AWS environments including EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, and associated cloud services supporting HME's mining solutions. Implement and enforce IT security protocols aligned with best practices for industrial and cloud-based systems. Conduct routine system audits, software updates, performance tuning, and vulnerability assessments. Support business continuity and disaster recovery planning, including automated backup and restoration procedures. Collaborate closely with development, operations, and engineering teams to support software deployments, integration with field hardware, and data element systems. Implement and manage identity and access management (IAM) frameworks across cloud and enterprise systems. Manage version control, code repositories, and CI/CD automation pipelines in collaboration with development teams (e.g., GitLab, GitHub Actions). Demonstrated hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud architecture. Ability to script and automate tasks using Bash, PowerShell, or Python. Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills. Strong understanding of zero-downtime deployment, fault tolerance, and load balancing strategies. Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or Ansible. Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix). Proven ability to work across hybrid networks (LAN/WAN/cloud + field/edge hardware environments). Preferred Experience Background in mining, construction, industrial automation, or other field-based industries with critical infrastructure. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline. Industry certifications such as RHCE, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, or similar credentials. Experience in supporting infrastructure for mining operations, real-time data platforms, or telemetry systems will be highly regarded.
