Sr Financial Systems Analyst

Role Overview: You will join HMH Finance / Treasury organization as a senior financial systems analyst with VBA expertise to drive automation and reporting. This role is hands-on and focused on building automation solutions rather than traditional reporting. Key Responsibilities: - Design, build, and maintain Microsoft Access databases for financial and operational reporting - Develop VBA-driven automation across Access, Excel, and Outlook using AI - Extract, integrate, and transform data from internal systems - Create and analyze trends using BI datasets and reporting - Identify and automate manual and repetitive tasks within the teams Qualifications Required: - Advanced skills in Microsoft Access and VBA, with experience in managing complex relational databases - Proficiency in data modeling, transformation, and automation - Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and VBA for complex formulas, data manipulation, and automation - Experience in automating email workflows and communication processes using Microsoft Outlook - Familiarity with BI tools like Power BI, Tableau for report creation - 8+ years of experience in custom solution-building and process engineering, preferably in finance - Strong problem-solving mindset and continuous improvement focus - Detail-oriented with a strong focus on data accuracy and proactive work approach Note: The Information Technology organization at HMH is undergoing a transformation to become a leader in digital transformation.
