About the role
As a Database Administrator at Honeywell, you will work on large footprints of various database technologies in both on-premises and cloud-based platforms. Your main responsibilities will include: - Hands-on experience in Oracle Database upgrade from 12c to 19c. - Experience with high availability database solutions such as physical, logical, and Active Data Guard. - Supporting SAP Oracle database or Oracle ERP with hands-on DB technology. - Managing Oracle EBS R12.1 and R12.2, SAP ERP Oracle database environments. - Involvement in the full lifecycle of Oracle database environment (Plan, Build, Patch, Run) including SAP DB and EBS R12.2, R12.1. - Developing backup/recovery processes for Oracle databases and ecosystems. - Strategic platform adoption for Oracle databases on-prem and cloud infrastructures (OCI, AWS, Azure). - Contributing to database automation for process efficiency and risk compliance. - Addressing performance and capacity trends for stability initiatives. - Participating in 24x7 operational support shift model. - Learning other database technologies like MS SQL, MySQL, and open-source databases. - Ensuring effective 24x7 centralized database monitoring and auditing tools. - Maintaining a reliable CMDB inventory and managing associated asset savings. - Creating and maintaining documentation for architecture, DB migration, DB creation, security, user management, etc. - Engaging with patching and vulnerabilities management. - Troubleshooting business-impacting performance issues. - Resolving issues with leadership guidance. - Ensuring compliance with SOX, PCI, GDPR, and export regulations. - Participating in cross-platform training and career development sessions.
