About the role
Howmet Aerospace has an immediate opening for an EHS Engineer (EHS Professional) at our Hampton, Va location. Anticipated Pay Range: $85K-95K per year. *Pay rates within this range are determined based on various factors including experience, education, certifications, etc.
Key Responsibilities of this position include: Assist with location fatality and serious injury prevention efforts including helping to lead deployment and execution of key fatality and serious injury prevention elements and coaching location leaders. Analyze injury and incident data and assist line management in the implementation of focused injury reduction efforts. Provide expertise to proactively address injury reduction efforts. Assist with the facility’s industrial hygiene program including execution of IH sampling plans, the administration of IH databases and employee exposure records, hazardous material management, ergonomics oversight, radiation protection and health hazard elimination efforts. Provide technical expertise and participate in injury/incident investigations to assist in identifying root cause analysis and provide recommendations to prevent recurrence. Assisting with the management of Local, State, and Federal environmental compliance permits. Monitor and report on environmental metrics such as emissions, waste, and energy usage. Assist with the development and implementation of EHS policy and procedures. Coach and counsel departmental leaders in the execution of their EHS accountabilities.
Partner with location leadership to deliver EHS objectives. Lead and assist with other EHS accountabilities.
