SAP Basis Consultant Job Description - 1 Role Summary We are looking for an experienced, configurations, upgrades, migrations, and technical administration across SAP landscapes SAP Basis Installation Consultant to support SAP system installations. The role requires solid hands-on experience in SAP NetWeaver, SAP HANA, S/4HANA, operating systems, databases, and system integration activities. Key Responsibilities - Perform end-to-end SAP system installation and configuration for SAP ECC, S/4HANA, NetWeaver, BW, Solution Manager, and related SAP components. - Install, configure, and administer SAP HANA database and supported databases such as Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, or MaxDB as applicable. - Carry out SAP kernel upgrades, support package stack upgrades, add-on installations, and SAP notes implementation. - Manage SAP system copies, client copies, homogeneous and heterogeneous migrations, and OS/DB migration activities. - Configure transport management system, background jobs, spool administration, RFC connections, printers, and SAP profiles. - Monitor SAP application servers, database performance, work processes, system logs, dumps, locks, updates, and batch jobs. - Support high availability, backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and system refresh activities. - Hands-on knowledge of SAP NetWeaver, SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, SAP HANA, and Solution Manager. - Experience with SAP installation tools such as SWPM, SUM, SAPinst, Maintenance Planner, and SAP Host Agent. - Good understanding of Linux/Unix/Windows operating systems and database administration basics. - Knowledge of transport management, performance monitoring, system refresh, backup, recovery, and troubleshooting. - Familiarity with SAP security basics, user administration, RFC setup, and interface connectivity. - Ability to work with cross-functional teams and handle critical production support situations. - Coordinate with infrastructure, database, security, functional, and development teams for smooth SAP landscape setup and maintenance. - Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis for installation, performance, connectivity, and system availability issues. - Prepare and maintain technical documentation, installation guides, system configuration records, and operational runbooks. .
