About the role
TECHNICAL SKILLS: Infrastructure as Code (IaC) : Expert in codifying data environments using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation to provision replication instances, endpoints, and networking (VPCs, Security Groups) automatically. Database Migration Automation : Deep proficiency in automating end-to-end deployment pipelines. This includes triggering migration tasks and managing deployment package as part of a CI/CD flow. CI/CD for Databases and Application: Designing high-tech "assembly lines" using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or AWS CodePipeline. You ensure that code changes are built, tested, and deployed across dev, staging, and production environments based on set protocol. Observability & Monitoring: I mplementing advanced monitoring with Prometheus, Grafana, or AWS CloudWatch. You set up real-time dashboards to track deployment progress, latency, and error rates, enabling proactive remediation. Containerization: Packaging data tools and migration scripts into Docker containers, Orchestration using Kubernetes, Package Management using Helm chart and for consistent execution across multi-cloud environments. DevSecOps (Security Shift-Left) : Integrating security into the migration pipeline by using AWS Secrets Manager or HashiCorp Vault for credential management and conducting automated vulnerability scans on all migration infrastructure. Good-to-Have: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer certification Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role: 1 Automate Everything: Eliminate manual toil by converting all database, Web portal deployment, Clod Infra, Lambda Function deployment, migration tasks etc. into repeatable, version-controlled scripts 2 Reliability & Resilience: Design "Blue-Green" or "Canary" deployment patterns for database cutover, AWS Lambda Function, Application deployment etc. to ensure zero downtime and safe rollbacks. 3 Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the technical bridge between Development, Security, and Business teams, ensuring data integrity and compliance at every stage of the lifecycle 4 Infrastructure & Automation: Manage migration infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform to ensure reproducible and secure environments. 5 Cost Optimization: Use FinOps principles to right-size cloud instances and implement auto- scaling to prevent overspending on migration resources
