About the role
As a CFD Software Expert, you will be responsible for utilizing commercial CFD software like ANSYS Fluent, SCFLOW/SCRYU/Tetra, PowerFLOW, StarCCM+ to conduct simulations. Your role will involve creating accurate 3D models of tractor components using CAD modeling software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, or Unigraphics. You must have a solid understanding of mesh generation techniques to represent complex geometries effectively. Key Responsibilities: - Analyze and interpret simulation results, including visualization and data extraction for post-processing. - Apply deep understanding of fluid flow principles, turbulent flow, boundary layers, and aerodynamic drag, HVAC, and thermal management. - Utilize knowledge of heat transfer mechanisms like conduction, convection, and radiation, especially in engine cooling systems. - Familiarize yourself with tractor components such as chassis, engine, muffler, exhaust, tires, and their impact on fluid flow. - Apply your expertise in tractor/agricultural farming equipment and construction equipment applications. Qualifications Required: - Proficiency in using commercial CFD software and CAD modeling tools. - Understanding of mesh generation techniques and post-processing analysis. - Knowledge of fluid flow principles, heat transfer mechanisms, and tractor components. - Experience in tractor/agricultural farming equipment and construction equipment applications is a plus. In this role, you are expected to: - Identify issues in simulations, troubleshoot convergence problems, and optimize model parameters. - Collaborate effectively with design engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to translate simulation results into design decisions. - Understand the importance of validating simulation results against real-world test data. - Perform CFD simulations to optimize tractor aerodynamics for fuel efficiency. - Analyze engine cooling system performance through CFD simulations. - Investigate the impact of different tire designs on traction and fuel consumption. - Identify potential flow issues within the tractor chassis and recommend design modifications. - Develop and validate CFD models for new tractor designs.
