LSMW Data Migration Consultant

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced LSMW Data Lead to oversee and manage data migration projects utilizing SAP's Legacy System Migration Workbench (LSMW). The ideal candidate will have extensive hands on experience with LSMW in SAP environments and will report directly to the Data Migration Lead/Project Manager. Responsibilities Design and execute LSMW objects to migrate master data, transactional data, and configuration data. Create and manage LSMW scripts, including object recording, field mapping, and value transformations. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues during LSMW execution, including data inconsistencies or mapping errors. Handle large volumes of data, ensuring data cleansing, validation, and reconciliation processes are effectively implemented. Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure data migration aligns with business requirements and project timelines. Provide training and support to team members on LSMW processes and best practices. Mandatory Skills Extensive hands on experience with LSMW for data migration in SAP environments. Strong understanding of SAP modules (e.g., SAP Sales and Distribution Functional, SAP Management Accounting ECC, HR ABAP Development) and the data structures within each module. Proficiency in SAP Data Services as a deal breaker skill. Experience in handling large volumes of data, including data cleansing, validation, and reconciliation. Preferred Skills Familiarity with additional SAP tools and technologies. Experience in project management methodologies. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 7 10 years of relevant experience in data migration projects, specifically using LSMW. Proven track record of successful data migration initiatives in SAP environments.
