About the role
You will be responsible for managing a team of SRE/DevOps engineers in the APAC region as part of a global team. Your key responsibilities will include: - Managing the APAC SRE team to ensure timely incident response, support request resolution, and delivery of roadmap items. - Partnering with business and technology teams to advise on operational constraints and opportunities for cloud-based deployments or on-premises to cloud migrations. - Designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud and on-premises environments with a focus on automation, service availability, and proactive problem detection. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and support delivery pipelines for cloud and on-premises environments. - Coaching and mentoring team members while building a regional strategy in conjunction with global management. - Coordinating high-profile incident communications across timezones and escalation paths. Qualifications required for this role: - 5-10 years of experience in SRE or DevOps roles. - 2-5 years of management experience. - Experience designing and deploying in AWS and/or Azure. - Experience with cloud governance, compliance automation, tagging, and cost controls. - Proficiency with Agile processes including Kanban or Scrum. - Familiarity with JIRA. - Ability to work independently within cross-functional, multi-location, and multi-timezone teams. - Capacity to participate in an on-call support rotation every few weeks. - BS degree in IT, IS, CS, or equivalent work experience. Additionally, preferred skills for this position include: - Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK. - Automation programming, specifically Python. - CI/CD automation and integration with ServiceNow. - Proficiency with command line tools for production triage.
