About the role
Build, modify, and repair vehicle wiring harnesses — low-voltage power/signal (12/24/48V), high-voltage cabling, and high-speed data (automotive Ethernet, coax, CAN) with proper shielding, impedance, and routing practices
Perform PCB rework and prototype support: fine-pitch SMD and through-hole soldering, hot air rework, component replacement, and connector rework with ESD-safe handling
Support basic board debug: continuity checks, power rail validation, and bring-up measurements
Build and maintain lab and vehicle test benches — harnessed rigs for sensors/compute/power, relay/fuse boxes, interconnect panels, and instrumentation setups (power supplies, loads, scopes, DMMs)
Route and dress cables in vehicles and benches: loom/overbraid, heat shrink, labeling, and connector serviceability for rapid iteration
Troubleshoot electrical integration issues in vehicles and benches; propose fixes and improvements
Maintain build records (as-built notes) and organize parts/tools
Fabricate simple brackets, enclosures, and mechanical fixtures as needed
