IT Network Administrator

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Network Administrator to manage and support our organizations network infrastructure. You will be responsible for maintaining network performance, troubleshooting network-related issues, ensuring data security, and supporting the wider IT team in delivering technology solutions across the business. Key Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems. Monitor network performance to ensure availability and reliability. Administer and support VPNs, VLANs, firewalls, and network security solutions. Manage IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, and other core network services. Respond to and resolve network issues, outages, and alerts in a timely manner. Implement and maintain security measures to protect the organizations network from threats. Work with vendors and service providers to ensure proper support and escalation of issues. Document network infrastructure, configurations, processes, and procedures. Assist with planning and execution of network upgrades and migrations. Support and troubleshoot VoIP systems and other network-connected services. Collaborate with the IT support team to resolve broader technical issues. Requirements Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). 4-10 years of experience in network administration or IT infrastructure roles. Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and network protocols. Experience with Cisco, Juniper, or similar enterprise networking equipment. Familiarity with firewalls (e.g., Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA), VPNs, and network access control. Knowledge of Windows and/or Linux server environments. Proficiency in network monitoring tools (e.g., PRTG, SolarWinds, Wireshark). Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. Network certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+, CCNP) are preferred. .
