Role Overview: You will be joining a dynamic development team responsible for building and maintaining large-scale online commerce services, focusing on a popular cashback and rewards platform. This role will provide you with the opportunity to work on high-traffic systems and enhance your QA leadership skills in a global environment. Key Responsibilities: - Define quality assurance strategies, create test plans, and oversee execution for web and mobile applications. - Collaborate closely with product managers, project managers, and engineering teams to ensure seamless delivery. - Track and report quality metrics, analyze trends, and identify root causes of issues. - Manage offshore QA members (approximately 57), including test case design, progress tracking, and review of deliverables. - Perform hands-on testing when required and maintain high standards for test coverage. - Lead a small onsite QA team and ensure effective communication and performance. - Drive continuous improvement through standardized QA processes and best practices. - Prepare regular reports and communicate results to stakeholders. Qualification Required: - 3+ years of experience in test design and execution for web or mobile applications - Knowledge equivalent to ISTQB Foundation Level - Previous experience as a team leader or similar role - Experience working with offshore teams or external vendors - Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration Additional Details: You will work in a global team with both onsite and offshore members, using English and Japanese for communication. Collaboration with engineers and other development roles is key to success. Familiarity with e-commerce platforms, experience in API testing, knowledge of test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Appium) and CI/CD environments, exposure to performance and security testing, proficiency with tools like JIRA and Confluence are preferred qualifications. Personal attributes such as being a proactive problem solver, adaptable, eager to learn, a strong communicator, comfortable with new challenges, and a team-oriented individual are valued. The language requirement for this role is English at a business level.
