About the role
As a Principal Embedded Systems Engineer at Hyperspec, you will play a crucial role in building a real-time local map for self-driving cars and implementing cross-view localization for enabling ubiquitous autonomy. Hyperspec, being a VC funded startup, provides an exciting opportunity for you to showcase your expertise in embedded systems design and development. Key Responsibilities: - Serve as an expert in all aspects of embedded projects and systems, encompassing design, development, testing, and refinement of designs. - Update and collaborate with executive leadership on the progress and development of embedded systems projects. - Offer guidance and mentorship to junior team members, sharing your knowledge and experience in embedded systems. Qualifications Required: - Minimum bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering. - Possess a minimum of ten years of engineering experience, specializing in software engineering, data structures, and programming techniques. - Deep proficiency in C/C++ programming. - Familiarity with FPGAs, PCBs, Xilinx, Altera, or similar SoCs. - Bonus points for experience with ISPs, cameras, and switches. - Hands-on experience with real-time operating systems, communication protocols, and firmware design. - Proficiency in interfaces, IP protocols, and hardware subsystems. - Proven track record of collaborating within teams and leading them effectively.
