About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated DevOps Specialist with 5-7 years of experience to spearhead our DevOps initiatives and drive the continuous improvement of our infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and engineering culture. In this role, you will not only be a key technical architect but also a people leader. Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring a team is strictly required. You will bridge the gap between development and operations, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability across all environments while fostering a collaborative, high-performance team environment. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & Mentorship: Direct, mentor, and grow a team of DevOps & SRE engineers. Conduct code reviews, provide architectural guidance, and foster professional development within the team. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible. CI/CD Pipeline Architecture: Own and optimize the automated build, test, and deployment pipelines to ensure seamless, frequent, and zero-downtime releases. System Reliability & Monitoring: Implement robust monitoring, logging, and alerting systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) to proactively identify and resolve production issues. Security & Compliance (DevSecOps): Integrate security best practices into the CI/CD pipeline, manage vulnerability scanning, and ensure infrastructure compliance. Collaboration & Strategy: Partner with Software Engineering, Product, and QA leaders to align infrastructure capabilities with business goals and optimize development workflows. Required Qualifications & Skills Experience: Minimum of 6+ years of professional experience in DevOps, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE). Leadership: Proven experience directly managing, leading, or mentoring a team of engineers is compulsory . Cloud Platforms: Deep expertise in managing production environments in major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Containerization & Orchestration: Strong, production-level experience with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, or GKE). CI/CD Automation: Advanced knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI. Scripting & Programming: Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python) and familiarity with modern programming languages. Network & Security: Solid understanding of network protocols, VPNs, firewalls, IAM roles, and SSL/TLS certificates.
