QA Automation Engineer - DBT & ETL Testing

As a QA Automation Engineer at our company, you will play a crucial role in strengthening our QA and testing capabilities to ensure the delivery of high-quality software. Your technical proficiency and testing skills will be put to the test in various dimensions during the interview process. Here is what we are looking for in an ideal candidate: Role Overview: You will be responsible for utilizing your strong programming expertise and hands-on testing experience to automate tests using Python and PyTest. Your familiarity with SQL for data validation and querying, as well as ETL testing experience, will be essential. Additionally, you should have a good understanding of CI/CD pipelines, with a preference for GitHub Actions. Key Responsibilities: - Write clear, effective, and maintainable test cases - Utilize TestRail or similar test management tools - Apply software QA methodologies and best practices Qualifications Required: - Strong programming skills in Python - Hands-on experience with PyTest Framework - Solid understanding of SQL for data validation - Experience in ETL testing and data warehousing - Knowledge of CI/CD Pipelines, with a preference for GitHub Actions - Experience in test case writing and design - Familiarity with TestRail or similar test management tools Nice To Have: - Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure - Knowledge of containerization tools such as Docker or Kubernetes - Familiarity with data pipeline frameworks like Apache Spark or Airflow - Understanding of Agile/Scrum development practices - Exposure to performance or load testing tools Additional Information: During the interview process, candidates will be evaluated based on: - Technical interview: Python coding challenge and SQL query tasks - Practical assessment: Writing test cases for a sample ETL scenario - Tool knowledge: Hands-on demonstration with PyTest and CI/CD setup - Behavioural assessment: Communication, collaboration, and problem-solving Please note that this is a 5-day work from the office role.
