Sr Data Engineer (Snowflake, DBT)

Role & Responsibilities Design, build, and optimize end-to-end data pipelines using Snowflake as the core data warehouse and dbt for transformation logic. Implement data modeling best practices (star schema, Kimball, Data Vault) and ensure pipeline quality with unit/integration tests. Orchestrate workflows via Airflow or similar tools to automate ingestion, transformation, and validation processes. Collaborate with analytics engineers and data scientists to define business logic, metrics, and data contracts. Monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and enforce data lineage and governance standards. Document data models, pipeline architecture, and deployment runbooks to ensure team scalability and knowledge sharing. Skills & Qualifications Must-Have Snowflake dbt (data build tool) SQL (complex queries, CTEs, window functions) Python (for scripting, automation, and UDFs) Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) Airflow or Prefect CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) Data modeling (star schema, dimensional modeling) Preferred Experience with Terraform or infrastructure-as-code Familiarity with observability tools (Datadog, Grafana) Exposure to data governance frameworks (e.g., Great Expectations, Monte Carlo) Benefits & Culture Highlights On-site collaboration with high-caliber engineers in a startup-paced, product-driven environment.
