WAF L2/L3 Engineer

As a WAF L2/L3 Engineer at the leading Digital Systems & Services Integrator company in South Asia, located at Tidel Park, Taramani, Chennai, your role involves continuous monitoring, analysis, configuration, and fine-tuning of Web Application Firewalls (WAF) to ensure optimal web traffic security and performance. You will be pivotal in identifying and mitigating security threats, resolving alerts, and maintaining the health of WAF and Load Balancer (A10) devices. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor, analyze, and configure web traffic within WAF systems. - Generate and share daily WAF web traffic reports with clients. - Regularly check for attacking patterns and manage blocklisted countries in cloud WAF. - Validate WAF health status reports received from L1 (Shift Basis). - Resolve SOC Alert tickets and IB-CART tickets promptly. - Continuously monitor WAF for suspicious activities and create incident tickets as necessary. - Analyze WAF traffic and contribute to the fine-tuning of WAF rules and policies to reduce false positives and enhance security. - Analyze allowed traffic to detect any malicious content and escalate to the next level if found. - Check certificate expiration details in DC & DR A10 devices and communicate findings to the client. - Monitor and report on interface status and utilization in DC & DR A10 devices. Qualifications Required: - Hands-on experience with Imperva WAF. - Any relevant Tech Certification or Cybersecurity certifications.
