About the role
About HMIE (Hyundai Motors India Engineering) HMIE was established in Nov 2006 at Hyderabad, Telangana State, India by Hyundai Motor Group. HMIE is a center with one of the advanced support services for research and development of Hyundai- KIA Motor Company (Namyang, South Korea), Hyundai Motor India Limited (Chennai, India) and Kia Motors India Private Limited (Penukonda, India). HMIE focuses on engineering services and quality enhancement. We are looking for progressive, bold, simple, and responsible creators to join the KIA India Design Center. Senior DEX Designer ( Digital Experience) @ KIA India Design Center Inside a Kia, the digital surface is not a feature. It's the conversation between the car & the driver. Kia India Design Center is hiring a Senior DEX (Digital Experience) Designer in Hyderabad. Interface is identity. Motion is meaning. Every millisecond of feedback shapes how a brand is felt. We're looking for a designer who understands this — and who can translate the rhythms of contemporary Indian users (multilingual, mobile-first, family-shared) into HMI, UX, and digital interface design that works for the market and lives natively inside the car. You'll lead DEX design across cluster, head unit, head-up display, and connected experiences from concept through production. You'll collaborate directly with HQ DEX in Namyang as a co-author. You'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with HMI engineering, software, and connectivity teams. And you'll mentor the next generation of digital designers within Kia. 7–10 years of digital experience design — automotive HMI strongly preferred; equivalent depth in premium digital products considered. Mastery of interaction design, motion, and systems thinking. Inspiration drawn daily from beyond the auto industry — digital products, motion, film, gaming, contemporary art. If you believe digital experience is not a layer added to a car but a core part of its character, we want to hear from you.
