About the role
As a BMS Engineer at IBA for the installation of Hyderabad's first Proton Therapy Center, your role is crucial in the mission to treat patients and combat cancer. You will be responsible for the installation, calibration, and commissioning activities related to the beam and physics subsystems at the Proton Therapy site. Key Responsibilities: - Participate in the installation of a variety of IBA equipment and technical tools on the Proton Therapy site, with a focus on beam-related equipment - Perform calibration of beam-related equipment following procedures - Operate the system to achieve a beam that meets the requirements, understanding the software/hardware architecture and components of the PT center - Set and align Dosimetry tools - Analyze data to diagnose technical issues - Test and validate equipment according to specifications, ensuring customer requirements are met in terms of compliance, quality, technical performance, and timing - Manage beam-related commissioning activities such as Pencil Beam Scanning (PBS) - Troubleshoot equipment to maintain the highest quality of technologies and services Qualifications Required: - Master's degree or PhD in Physics or engineering - Experience in High Energy Physics, Particle Accelerators, or Medical Physics is an advantage - Proficiency in MS Excel, Python, and data acquisition scripting - Ability to troubleshoot complex system issues - Strong written and verbal communication skills in English During the Customer Service phase, your responsibilities will include maintaining and troubleshooting equipment, providing technical support to medical staff, conducting preventive and corrective maintenance, and collaborating with the RD department for system upgrades. IBA values individuals who are customer-oriented, able to adhere to regulations and deadlines, possess analytical and troubleshooting skills, are willing to share knowledge, work well in a team, and are flexible to travel extensively and work in rotating shifts, night shifts, and weekends.
