Role Overview: You will lead multi-disciplinary teams in the design and development of robotics, industrial automation systems, and autonomous machines. Collaboration between engineers, designers, and stakeholders to drive innovative mechatronics solutions will be promoted by you. Mentoring team members to develop expertise in robotics and automation technologies is also a key aspect of your role. Key Responsibilities: - Drive the design and development of autonomous systems and robotics for industrial and commercial applications. - Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure efficient project execution. - Ensure all projects adhere to client specifications and industry safety standards. - Develop cutting-edge mechatronics solutions that incorporate robotics, AI, and automation technologies. - Promote sustainable and scalable design approaches to enhance operational efficiency and system longevity. - Establish and enforce quality control protocols for robotic and automation system development. - Oversee compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards in the design and implementation of mechatronics solutions. - Provide high-level technical presentations and reports to clients, ensuring transparency and alignment. - Engage with clients to understand their needs and provide customized mechatronic solutions. - Ensure the successful delivery of projects through effective communication, feedback, and timely execution. Qualifications Required: - 8 to 12 years of experience in Mechatronics system design. - 4 years of experience as a project lead with a team of engineers reporting to you. - 2-4 years of experience as a L2 manager with multiple teams or multi-tiered team reporting to you. - Successful execution of at least 1 client project as a project lead with a team of engineers reporting to you. - Proven experience in pitching ideas/presentation, planning, budgeting, hiring/interviewing, and executing projects. - Strong verbal and written technical communication & presentation skills. - Demonstrated leadership & coordination skills for engagement of multi-disciplinary teams. - Knowledge of industrial methodologies & standards such as Design Thinking, Kanban, Kaizen, Just in Time, quality control methodologies such as Six Sigma, etc. - Prior technical experience and skills in designing & building circuits/circuit boards, DC electronics & power electronics, integration of devices such as sensors, actuators, IoT devices, microcontrollers, drivers, industrial controllers, various types of motors, actuators, switches, ICs, and developing working software. - Familiarity with circuit simulation software such as MATLAB/Simulink Mechatronics package or equivalent. - Hands-on experience with C/C++, Java, Python, and knowledge of assembler level coding. - Knowledge of ROS (Robot Operating System), Gazebo, sensors (Lidar, IR/ultrasonic range, tilt, encoders, GPS), IoT devices, motors (servo, stepper, DC), integration of sensors & actuators with microcontroller, and communication protocols - CANBUS, TCP/IP, RS232, etc. Role Overview: You will lead multi-disciplinary teams in the design and development of robotics, industrial automation systems, and autonomous machines.
