Devops Engineer

Building and implementing new development tools and infrastructure Understanding the needs of stakeholders (Developers, Testers, Infrastructure) Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats Identifying technical problems and working to troubleshoot and resolve the same. Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended Working with project and development teams Customer service, consistent and clear communication to all Responsibilities Deploy updates and fixes, and provide Level 2 technical support Perform root cause analysis of errors, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues Follow procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance Perform consistently accurate code and config deployments Complete all daily checks successfully Managing Kanban board and communication Release Preparation for minor and major releases and support where required Managing Code repo s including branching merging Required skills and qualifications Must have Practical experience and knowledge of Software Development practices and principles Experience as a DevOps engineer or in a similar software engineering role Practical strong experience of Microsoft technology stack (.Net framework and dot core code and SQL) Experience in Version Control, build pipelines, orchestration, application security configuration management tools. Problem-solving attitude Collaborative team spirit Ability to work as a team and on your own Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and written Practical proficient Scripting experience in PowerShell, YAML/Json beneficial. Work on DevOps activities in all layers of the stack, including infrastructure, applications/code, data layer as well as continuous integration and deployment. Good to have Provide support for new and existing programs and projects, as well as enhancements to existing applications, in conjunction with developers and test teams. Ability to implement new approaches (Process Tooling) Proficient in setting up build/release pipelines, and practical application of the same (Azure Devops On premise). Looking at ways to improve existing solutions Experience in test automation and processes (Postman/Newman) Experience in Application Security from a DevOps perspective. Experience with setting up/migrating to containerisation and orchestration. Experience in mentoring junior members of the team.
