About the role
As a Technical Manager, you will lead the design, development, and delivery of high-quality Bare Metal Restore (BMR) solutions. You should bring a strong technical foundation in Java, Python, C++, and ReactJS, along with proven experience managing cross-functional engineering teams. You'll be a hands-on leader who guides technical leads, coordinates multi-team execution, and drives product excellence across server, UI, and backup infrastructure layers. What you will be doing: Team & project leadership Lead and coordinate multiple engineering teams (Java, Python, C++, and frontend) to ensure timely, high-quality releases. Collaborate with the Director of Engineering and Product Owner to align on goals, priorities, and technical direction. Oversee the complete product lifecycle — from architecture and planning to QA, deployment, and maintenance. Drive collaboration across backend, frontend, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure efficient communication and delivery. Technical oversight & execution Conduct architecture reviews, design discussions, and code reviews to ensure adherence to technical standards and maintain high engineering standards. Mentor and provide technical guidance to leads and engineers on improving code quality, system design, and scalability. Monitor and optimize software performance, reliability, and maintainability across all product components. Drive innovation in backup, restore, and storage workflows, leveraging distributed systems, file systems (ZFS), and virtualization technologies. Core technologies you'll work with Server OS: Debian 12 Programming languages: Java, Python, C++, ReactJS Storage layer: ZFS Virtualization targets: Hyper-V, VMware Backup targets: Windows endpoints Architecture: Multi-service backend with a web-based management console Process & collaboration Coordinate with product management to translate business requirements into clear technical deliverables and milestones. Partner with QA and DevOps to improve CI/CD, automation, and release processes. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and technical excellence.
