The Gig: We're looking for a detail-oriented Quality Engineer who is passionate about delivering high-quality software and creating exceptional user experiences. In this role, you'll work closely with product owners, developers, and cross-functional teams to ensure our web and mobile applications meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and reliability. You'll play a key role throughout the software development lifecycle by designing and executing comprehensive test strategies, identifying defects early, and helping drive continuous improvement in our QA processes. What you'll be doing: Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories to define effective test scenarios. Design, develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive test cases and test plans. Perform functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, sanity, exploratory, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Validate web applications across multiple browsers and mobile devices (Android & iOS). Verify compliance with Web Accessibility standards. Perform API testing using Postman or similar API testing tools. Execute database validation using SQL queries to ensure data accuracy and integrity. Identify, document, track, and verify defects using Jira or similar defect management tools. Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and product teams to resolve issues and improve overall product quality. Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives. Prepare test execution reports and communicate testing progress, risks, and quality metrics to stakeholders. Ensure adherence to QA standards, testing best practices, and continuous process improvements. Support timely delivery of high-quality releases while maintaining strong attention to detail. About you: 2+ years of hands-on experience in Software Quality Assurance with a strong focus on manual testing. Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC), and defect management processes. Proven experience in functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, sanity, exploratory, and UAT testing. Hands-on experience performing API testing using Postman or similar tools. Good knowledge of SQL for database testing and data validation. Experience testing responsive web applications across multiple browsers and mobile platforms. Good understanding of Web Accessibility standards and best practices. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies. Understanding of modern web technologies and application architecture. Domain knowledge in Finance and Investor Relations is preferred. Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail. Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. Ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently deliver quality work within project timelines. Nice to have: ISTQB Certification.
