About the role
As a Senior Engineer - Dev, you will be responsible for owning the full mobile app lifecycle, from requirement gathering to architecture, development, testing, and release. You will be developing scalable and production-ready mobile applications, either cross-platform or native, and integrating or building backend APIs in modern backend stacks. Your role will involve designing clean mobile architectures with long-term maintainability, deploying apps to Play Store and App Store, participating in client discussions, estimations, demos, and technical alignment, as well as using AI tools responsibly and validating outputs thoroughly. Additionally, you will troubleshoot production issues, implement long-term fixes, maintain high code quality through reviews and standards, and collaborate with QA, UI/UX, backend, and DevOps teams. Key Responsibilities: - Own full mobile app lifecycle: requirement architecture development testing release. - Develop scalable, production-ready mobile applications (cross-platform or native). - Integrate and/or build backend APIs in any modern backend stack. - Design clean mobile architecture with long-term maintainability. - Deploy apps to Play Store and App Store. - Participate in client discussions, estimations, demos, and technical alignment. - Use AI tools responsibly and validate outputs thoroughly. - Troubleshoot production issues and implement long-term fixes. - Maintain high code quality through reviews and standards. - Collaborate with QA, UI/UX, backend, and DevOps teams. Required Skills & Qualifications: - 38+ years of experience in mobile app development. - Strong ownership mindset and ability to work independently. - Shipped multiple production apps (Play Store and/or App Store). - Experience handling production issues (crashes, performance regressions, hotfix releases). - Strong communication skills for client-facing delivery (estimation, demos, requirement clarifications). - Uses AI tools to accelerate development. - Validates outputs through testing, review, and benchmarking. - Knows when not to rely on AI (security-sensitive logic, payments, auth flows). - Follows security/IP guidelines while using AI tools (no sensitive data exposure). - A key expectation is mature use of AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude, etc.).
