About the role
Role Overview: You will be responsible for contributing to the development of advanced RF sensing, signal intelligence, and Counter-UAS solutions by designing and implementing SDR-based systems for signal detection, classification, protocol analysis, and spectrum monitoring across various communication technologies. Your role will require strong RF fundamentals, hands-on SDR development experience, and the ability to independently execute technical tasks from concept to deployment. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and optimize SDR-based RF detection and monitoring systems. - Capture, analyze, classify, and characterize RF signals across multiple frequency bands. - Develop signal processing algorithms for detection, identification, and tracking applications. - Implement and maintain GNU Radio flowgraphs and custom SDR software applications. - Perform protocol analysis and reverse engineering of wireless communication systems. - Conduct laboratory and field testing of SDR-based systems. - Evaluate RF system performance and recommend improvements. - Collaborate closely with antenna, embedded, AI/ML, and software teams for system integration. - Prepare technical documentation, test reports, and design recommendations. - Support product development activities from prototyping through deployment. Qualification Required: - Strong understanding of RF engineering principles. - Excellent knowledge of wireless communication systems and modulation schemes. - Understanding of spectrum analysis, channel characteristics, interference, and propagation. - Familiarity with antenna fundamentals and RF measurement techniques. - Hands-on experience with SDR platforms like HackRF, BladeRF, LimeSDR, RTL-SDR, and other equivalent systems. - Proficiency in Python and working knowledge of C/C++. - Experience in Linux-based development environments. - Ability to automate RF testing and data analysis workflows. Additional Details: The company is looking for candidates with a B.Tech/B.E. in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or equivalent. An M.Tech/MS in a relevant specialization is advantageous. They seek individuals with strong engineering fundamentals, hands-on problem-solving ability, independent ownership of technical deliverables, ability to work in field-test environments, high attention to detail and engineering discipline, strong documentation and communication skills, and a passion for RF technologies, defence systems, and emerging wireless threats.
