About the role
Role : SAP Basis Consultant Job Type : Full-time Job Location: Bangalore Experience : 8+ years Notice Period: Immediate to 10 Days Job Description: Hands-on experience in SAP Basis Administration. Plan and execute SAP system upgrades, including NetWeaver, Enhancement Packs (EHP), Support Package Stacks (SPS), and Kernel upgrades. Lead SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA conversion projects using SAP best practices. Perform SAP system refreshes, homogeneous/heterogeneous system copies, and client copies. Execute OS/DB migrations, Unicode conversions, and SAP HANA database upgrades/migrations. Utilize SAP tools such as Software Update Manager (SUM), Database Migration Option (DMO), Maintenance Planner, and SPAM/SAINT. Conduct pre-upgrade assessments, simplification item checks, custom code remediation, and readiness analysis. Plan and execute mock upgrades, dry runs, production cutovers, and post-go-live support. Monitor and troubleshoot SAP system performance during upgrades and migrations. Collaborate with functional, infrastructure, and database teams to ensure successful project execution. Maintain technical documentation, upgrade procedures, and migration runbooks. Stay updated with SAP release strategies, maintenance recommendations, and industry best practices. Experience with SAP Enterprise Cloud Services (ECS) is an added advantage. Exposure to SAP ECS, cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), and automation tools is an advantage.
