SAS Tester

Job Title: SAS Tester Experience: 2+ Years Location: Chennai (Preferred) / Hybrid Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary We are looking for a detail-oriented SAS Tester with 2+ years of testing experience to join our QA team. The ideal candidate should have handson experience in SAS Testing, SAS Programming, SQL, ETL Testing, and Data Warehouse Testing. The role involves validating complex data pipelines, ensuring data accuracy, and performing endtoend testing across enterprise data platforms. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and execute test cases for SAS-based applications and data processing workflows. Validate ETL processes by ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across source and target systems. Perform Functional Testing, Regression Testing, System Testing, and Integration Testing. Write and execute SAS programs to validate data transformations and business logic. Develop and execute SQL queries for backend data validation and defect analysis. Test Data Warehouse components, including fact and dimension tables, data marts, and reporting layers. Identify, log, track, and verify defects using defect management tools. Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and data engineers to understand business requirements and resolve issues. Prepare test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test execution reports. Participate in requirement analysis, sprint planning, and QA review meetings. Ensure compliance with QA standards and testing best practices. Required Skills Strong experience in SAS Testing. Handson experience with SAS Programming. Good knowledge of SQL for data validation and analysis. Experience in ETL Testing and Data Warehouse Testing. Expertise in Functional Testing and Regression Testing. Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC. Experience in defect tracking and test management tools. Good analytical, problemsolving, and communication skills. Preferred Skills Exposure to Banking, Financial Services, or Healthcare domains. Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica or DataStage is an advantage. Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology. Familiarity with automation testing concepts is a plus. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in Software Testing with a focus on SAS, SQL, ETL, and Data Warehouse Testing.
