Consultant - Data Science

Role Overview: ZS is seeking a talented individual to join their Advanced Data Science (ADS) group, where you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge solutions across various industries using advanced analytics and emerging data sources. As part of the ADS team, you will collaborate with clients and ZS stakeholders to develop and implement solutions that drive client impact and thought leadership within the industry. Additionally, you will play a key role in leveraging data to deliver innovative solutions and create scale within the organization. Key Responsibilities: - Execute and lead the application of numerical optimization techniques on large, unstructured data sets to solve complex problems efficiently. - Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy optimization-based solutions on high-dimensional datasets, ensuring practical and statistically effective outcomes. - Develop data science capabilities to solve problems and enhance analytic capabilities within the organization. - Lead discussions with clients and ZS stakeholders to integrate and communicate analysis findings effectively. - Evaluate emerging datasets and technologies to define the analytic platform. - Own the development of select assets and accelerators to drive scalability. - Contribute to thought leadership through research and publications. - Guide and manage project teams of Associates/Associate Consultants. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's, master's degree, or PhD in Computer Science (or Statistics) from a premier institute with a strong academic background in analytics and quantitative coursework. - 6-9 years of Data Science experience, including expertise in generative AI, deep learning, statistical techniques, and scalable solutions integration. - Solid understanding of linear programming, convex optimization, non-linear programming, and other optimization concepts. - Proficiency in various data science concepts and algorithms (e.g., supervised/unsupervised learning, reinforcement learning, simulation modeling, recommender systems, etc.). - Strong programming skills in Python/R. - Knowledge of relevant tools/platforms for ML and data engineering. - Experience in team management, skill development, agile project planning, and project management. - Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, motivation, work ethic, and maturity.
