Lighting Product Manager

As a Lighting Product Manager at IKIO LED Lighting, you will play a crucial role in developing and managing innovative lighting products for various applications. Your responsibilities will include: - Product Strategy & Management: - Own and manage the complete product lifecycle from concept through launch and phase-out. - Develop product roadmaps for different lighting systems based on customer needs and market trends. - Coordinate with cross-functional teams for successful product development. - Technical Expertise & Product Knowledge: - Possess strong technical knowledge in LED lighting technologies, drivers, optics, thermal management, and more. - Understand sports lighting standards, industrial applications, and smart lighting systems. - Controls Expertise (In-Depth): - Have a strong understanding of various lighting control systems such as 0-10V dimming, DALI, DMX, Bluetooth Mesh, and more. - Market Research & Competitive Analysis: - Conduct market research to identify emerging technologies and analyze market opportunities. - Prepare competitive comparison reports and positioning strategies. - Product Solution Development: - Develop application-based lighting solutions for customers and work closely with sales teams. - Provide complete lighting solution packages including fixtures, controls, and accessories. - Product Training & Technical Support: - Conduct product training sessions for internal and external teams. - Support field teams with technical product knowledge and application guidance. - Troubleshooting & Application Understanding: - Support troubleshooting of field issues related to lighting systems and sensors. - Provide practical technical support to customers and project teams. - Compliance & Certifications: - Ensure products adhere to UL, ETL standards, and other compliance requirements. - Cross-Functional Collaboration: - Collaborate with various teams including engineering, manufacturing, marketing, and sales. - Customer & Industry Engagement: - Engage with distributors, contractors, and end-users to understand their needs. Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in relevant field. - 510+ years of experience in lighting product management. - Strong technical skills in lighting controls, photometry, and product troubleshooting. Preferred Qualities: - Strong analytical and strategic thinking. - Excellent communication and presentation skills. - Customer-focused technical approach.
